At Hoglin Honey Bees we are passionate about educating the next generation about the vital importance bees play in our environment, and the absolute essential need for bees to be appreciated, saved and protected.
As Beekeepers we play a fair part in their protection, however it is a collective effort by everyone to ensure they are able to thrive harmoniously in our suburbs and worldwide.
When bees are able to thrive in their environment – they in turn provide us the most unique healing superfood – honey – which has benefitted mankind for thousands of years.
In our incursions, students will learn about:
- The importance of bees
- How we can save them
- The bees inside the hive
- Beekeeping equipment and practice
- Honey production
A secure observation hive of live bees is available if students want to immerse themselves deep into the daily lives of a bee, alternatively a simulation beehive is also available – That’s not all –100% raw honey tasting is always a sweet addition.
Our incursions provide an interactive and full sensory experience for all things bees, beekeeping and honey. Suitable from Kindergarten to Highschool.

Pricing:
$240 for up to 30 pupils, or $8 per head thereafter. Travel costs for outer Metro may apply.
